Had an issue with my dryer vent and was reccomended Star Ducts by another company who wasn't able to come out in time. I will gladly say that I am happy this chance came to use Star Ducts. I have had a few estimates from other companies but this interaction from over the phone scheduling to having met Matthew H. as my tech was absolutely the most professional and personable I could have hoped for. They came with all the gear needed and Matthew seemed to be very knowledgeable in this profession. He also was an all around badass that walked me throughout the process what was being done and why and gave me an interaction that every honest company should strive for. Shimon and Matt conducted a thorough duct cleaning service to my home today. Shimon, as a team leader, is a very customer oriented technician with good faith. At his first visit, he shared his quick diagnosis before starting his work, and told me transparently what he can do and what he can't do, after checking the furnace set up in my home. That gave me a reasonable opportunity to reconsider my next steps, and he is very respectful of customer's preferences after being informed. His team with Matt is highly dedicated, and they shared their findings with me, which was very helpful to know what's going on with my furnace system, and on how to better use my HVAC. Shimon was extremely helpful, efficient, and professional throughout the process of relocating our drier vent. He explained the job in detail, giving us confidence in the quality of his work and his knowledge of Seattle area codes. The StarDucts office was proactive at finding a time to perform the relocation that fit within our schedule and could be done before another house project we had planned. And the installation itself was done very well - Shimon explained the work he’d be doing, walked us through choices, reviewed his work in stages, and cleaned up our space well before he departed. This is weird to say about an HVAC cleaning company, but I’m honestly obsessed with StarDucts. This was, by far, the most seamless service appointment I’ve ever had. Nasser was prompt, kind, helpful, and informative. He explained the process to me, cleaned up thoroughly after the service, and even offered to help me move furniture back to where it was before the cleaning. I also appreciated how easy StarDucts made it to book the service and ask questions beforehand. They also sent out a pre-service PDF on exactly how to prepare so we could make sure our house was ready to go when they arrived. Go ahead and end your google search right here - Simon is the best. Star Ducts was the fifth company I called and going forward it’ll be the only. He showed up early to the two-hour arrival window (which never happens) and was prepared and professional. When I called his schedule was booked two weeks out but he somehow fit us in. Our new dryer was refusing to run, showing an error code of 90% blockage. I was uncertain if anyone would be able to reach the 4th story vent without a truck ($$$). Simon showed up, figured out which vent was correct as we apparently have two, cleaned it out and showed me how to replace the vent cover. Good as new! Feels so nice to cross this off my house repair checklist. ~ Jordan H

Great experience working with Simon! He was able to schedule my appointment for my dryer duct cleaning within a week and said that he was willing to work with my schedule without any additional fee. He showed up within the time frame he provided. Simon determined that my dryer did not need to be cleaned yet, but offered to clean it anyways if I wanted. Simon took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly and explained how my particular venting system differed from other houses'. I really appreciated Simon's honesty and that he did not create work for himself. Simon was very professional, friendly, and courteous. The administrative technology for scheduling, getting the quote and expectations were clear. For any questions, Simon the owner, who was the technician to clean my vents, would answer them promptly. First timer also had a discount, which was an important factor for me, plus no surprise fee. I was busy to see how much dust got cleaned so I couldn't attest to the after effect of air quality but he was a friendly, self sufficient gentleman with a quick service. FYI, Mechanics of cleaning: Our dryer vent was cleaned from inside the room instead of outside the house bc the vent opening of the outside was too high (2nd floor). He puts his 8 inch diameter vacuum tunnel to my furnace by putting a hole and sucked the air while brushing the dust from inside of each small vents in the house. He also cleaned the returning duct. ~ Eden

We had a birds nest in our dryer vent a few weeks ago. We removed it ourselves as best we could, but could not get far enough into the vent. A few day ago it started to smell in our washroom and we figured it might be a dead bird. We called starduct and Simon was able to come by the next day. Simon was professional. It’s nice to work with someone who knows what they are doing. He cleaned the duct, but we had to open the duct from the washroom as the smell was still there. A fairly large bird was stuck in the duct and he not only removed it but replaced the duct running from our dryer to the duct in the wall to ensure no bacteria were left. He also sprayed the room with a hygiene spray to remove all bacteria, and potential fungus and mildew. And then cleaned up everything. Great job. Thank you Simon! ~ Peter H

Starducts responded to my call within 20 minutes and scheduled an appointment to clean out my exhaust. Over the weekend my my old dryer caught fire, thankfully we noticed it within minutes of it being turned on. After researching various duct cleaners over the weekend, I was pleasantly surprised by the quick call back and appointment. I mistakenly gave him the wrong height of the location of the vents to my building. What I thought was the vent (7ft high) ended up being another vent 20ft height. He was extremely flexible and was able to work with me to make sure my vents were cleaned. I live in a small condo building and plan to have the HOA bring him back to service all units. He was professional, kind, educated me on my vent system, and left no trace that he was even here. 100% recommend him for quick, professional, service! ~ Jennifer A

We had our ducts cleaned by Starducts recently and our experience was outstanding. I'm really glad we went with them. Setting up the appointment was easy — Anna was quick to respond and made sure she understood what we needed before scheduling anything. Collin came out for the cleaning and showed up right on time. He walked us through what he was going to do before starting, which was very helpful. He was very professional, thorough, and took good care of our home while doing the job. All the vents were cleaned, including the dryer vents, and was careful throughout. Pricing was reasonable too — no surprises there. Cleaner air. The whole house felt so much cleaner just from having done this cleaning. We hadn’t ever had one done since we moved in and it was likely to have never been done before us. Wish we had done it sooner. Simon is a great and friendly service provider and happy to share what he is doing along the way. We got a few quotes but not only was theirs the best it was also the speediest and easiest to communicate with throughout the scheduling and process. They sent us several pieces of information before starting and were up front about all aspects of the job. Easy to see their quality work and responsive after when we had questions. First time customer. StarDucts did a great job overall. Good communication and fair pricing. I also got an another bid that was slightly lower, but felt more confident with StarDucts. Their estimate assumes you have one fresh air return. If you have more, then the price goes up slightly. They found a lot of old construction debris in the heating vents. They also cleaned the dryer vent and ceiling bathroom vents. They had a senior technician follow up to make sure everything was done up to their standards. They make a big deal out of being licensed, insured and bonded. They also show you that the workers are background check verified. No complaints. ~ David M

Shimon came out to my house and did an honest assessment of my ductwork. After taking some pictures and doing an inspection and talking a little bit further he helped me understand that I didn’t need to pay close to $600 to have anything done. I had previously had the ducts cleaned and I wasn’t sure when I needed to have them done again. He took the time to come out, knowing I might not need to have any work done. He came on time was courteous and professional and even took extra time to help me explain I’ll explain how a few things in the system worked. As soon as I do need to get anything done I’m definitely gonna be calling back I so appreciate the honesty and integrity ~ Rene B

StarDucts is the best! They just came out today to do a standard heating duct and dryer vent cleaning, and I couldn't be happier. Simon was prompt, professional, and well-priced. From the before-and-after photos he sent me of my heating ducts, I can only imagine the last time this was done on my 1914 bungalow. I was so pleased, I decided to have him come back to service my furnace. I will be going back to StarDucts from now on for all my HVAC needs. Thank you, Simon! WOW! The honesty and integrity of Shimon is top notch. He had a cancellation and asked if he could come early. Great! He shows up promptly at the new time, we walk the house, and then he explains all that he is going to do and a few concerns he has about possible damage (we have ceiling vents and removing them may have caused some paint damage). He gets to work and examines several vents, taking photos. He shows me the photos and says “I have to be honest, I don’t think your vents need cleaning. I wouldn’t feel good doing the work and charging you for it.” Then he explained how our ceiling vents, plus regular filter changes, generally require a lot less maintenance than floor vents. After seeing the photos and his feedback we decided not to proceed with the cleaning… and he didn’t charge us anything, even though it was probably an hour of work/travel. I’m so impressed by the work! The price was really reasonable too, all things considering. We just moved into a 1929 house and there was a 3-4 inch layer of dirt, dust, and filth in all the cold air return vents. Simon cleaned it out so well. We figured nobody had ever cleaned these return vents before… possibly since 1929. Simon was really nice and professional and was really respectful of the house. He also worked really quickly and efficiently! I have a cat, and he made sure we put her in a safe room while he worked and asked to make sure she was okay. Highly recommend - Simon at Star Ducts is the one you want for your job! We got a quote and scheduled him to do a full duct clean for our home, which was a very easy and convenient booking process. His pricing was the most competitive of all that we referenced in the area. He arrived and after examining all the vents and ducts he explained that the vents had very clearly been cleaned recently and did not need the full clean that he had quoted us. Schedule a day for Duct Cleaning throughout my split level home. Simon communicated well regarding his ETA and arrived on time! I appreciated his professionalism, kindness and level of care towards my home during the cleaning process. He was quick to respond to my quote request even on the weekend, and we were able to schedule right away - we had an urgent issue regarding a smell coming from our vent and he was able to squeeze us in the next day. Simon is very professional, respectful and friendly! I have a white rug and before I could ask for him to step around it or for me to move it, on went shoe covers he had brought with him. When scheduling my appointment everything was clearly explained. Communication continued to be flawless during the visit and in the system which auto schedules me for next year with a follow up phone call 30 days beforehand to confirm. I found Simon to be a good communicator instantly. His scheduling was very easy and He immediately texted me a confirmation of my price and time. Simon showed up on time. He is a very kind man. He worked very steadily with great focus. I could not get him to take a break even to eat a taco, He kindly continued his work without stopping for a free taco ? He helped me to understand that the blower fan was very dirty from years of neglect and was able to schedule an appointment to return a few days later. It was such pleasure to have them out for the Duct cleaning. From the time getting estimate, they have been very professional knowledgeable and disclosing what works to be included and what might be additional charges. They arrived early with a big vacuum machine truck. They don’t up sell and keep the client’s best interest first. They took a picture of inside hvac blower blades and said we don’t need that to be cleaned which might have been additional charge. I feel lucky we went with them.
